Issues
Los Alamos faces significant issues. Here’s where I stand.
Stop Government Overreach:
Limit Spending
- Eliminate superfluous DEI positions, focus instead on merit
- Oppose unnecessary and ineffective climate initiatives
- Oppose the government buying private buildings for their own use
Limit Excesses
- Prevent unjust rulings like the UnQuarked/Sirphey red tag case
- Stop meddling in business ventures, like attempting to buy the Reel Deal theater
Support Small Businesses:
Include Small Business Interests in Development
- LEDA for business development
- MRA in White Rock and downtown LA
Oppose Lockdowns and Mandates
- Lockdowns destroyed many small businesses and negatively affected our children
- The harsh measures taken during COVID-19 were unjust and short-sighted
Common-Sense Approach:
Improve Transportation
- Support highway improvements and a possible rail extension
- Connect Los Alamos to larger markets to the south
Create New Housing
- Push the DOE to invest in construction like it did when White Rock was built
- Reduce the number of people commuting to work from outside Los Alamos
- Relax permitting standards to bolster local enterprise
Halt Climate Initiatives
- Los Alamos’s contribution to global emissions is minuscule
- We have more important things to focus on
